Celebrating Festivals at Organizations Strengthens Relationships

Days are gone when going to office meant work and only work. These days, the work culture at enterprises has changed completely and there is much more to do within the premises apart from work. To break employees’ monotony and strengthen the relations among professionals, companies today are celebrating all the festivals with enthusiasm. These celebrations easily convey the message that workplace is not only about working like machines but it is a place where you can laugh, play, dance, sing and make friends along with fulfilling your job responsibilities.

Leading organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Sapient India, and GE Money put in their best efforts to make each celebration with their employees memorable. From Diwali to Christmas, every festival is celebrated together to bring employees from different departments together. In fact, celebrations are considered as one amongst the best practices for team building. The HR professionals at these organizations conduct activities and games and ensure that every employee participates in it.

The type of activities for team-building may vary from one organization to another but the ultimate aim is to involve the employees. To receive maximum involvement from the participants, the authority managing the event should seek their advices. Professionals can be asked to drop in their suggestions to the concerned person so that they can be included in the celebration. Most of the organizations completely understand the significance of building a strong team and they are hosting celebrations at regular intervals. So, the next time you get bored of working, think about the upcoming party and cheer yourself.
